Govt taking steps to boost foreign investment: PM

Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, the caretaker prime minister, announced on Wednesday that the government was moving to increase foreign investment in the information  technology industry. “Progress has already been made in this area,” the prime minister  declared as he presided over the fifth meeting of the Special  Technology Zones Authority’s Board of Governors. He gave the relevant authorities instructions to draft the regulations required to draw in foreign IT specialists to Pakistan in an effort to grow and advance the IT sector in the nation. PM Kakar emphasised that Pakistan has enormous potential in the  information technology industry, which could be extremely  important in bolstering the national economy. Many topics related to the Special Technology Zones Authority were discussed during the conference.
