Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the government is doing everything within its power to assist foreign investors.
A Reqo Dik Mining Company delegation led by Mark Bristow, the company’s chief executive officer, visited him in Islamabad on Monday. The prime minister told the delegation that there are numerous investment opportunities in the infrastructure, communication, energy, mining, and information technology sectors in Pakistan. According to the prime minister, the Reqo Dik project will revolutionize Balochistan and usher in a new era of development in the region. At the time, the prime minister gave the order to form a project support team for the Reqo Dik project.
It was further informed that a school has been set up by the Reqo Dik Company in cooperation with the Community Development Committee of the area. Along with this, steps will be taken to provide vocational and higher education to the youth of the area so that they can find employment opportunities.
In the briefing, it was further informed that work is in progress regarding the provision of clean drinking water and health facilities in the area. It was also informed that alternative energy is being used in the project.
The Prime Minister appreciated the ongoing work of Reqo Dik Mining Company regarding corporate social responsibility and also encouraged the company to work together with the government in establishing Danish Schools in Balochistan.
