Qaisar Ahmad Sheikh, the Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, stated on Monday that the administration was doing everything it could to boost the country’s economy and solve the public concerns.Speaking to the media in Chiniot, the minister underlined that raising the per capita growth rate was necessary to significantly improve inhabitants’ quality of life.He emphasized how important small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) are to economic growth and how helping these companies with funding and technical assistance would lower poverty and generate job opportunities, raising people’s standards of living.He emphasized the necessity of broadening the tax base, pointing out that millions more individuals might be added to the tax system and that there are currently about 5.6 million taxpayers.
