The government has ordered the immediate release of 35 JI personnel, the names of whom the party submitted, according to federal minister Tarar.
According to him, the religio-political group made ten requests related to taxes, power, and agriculture.
He continued by saying that the federal government was working nonstop to cut costs and help the country through economic reforms and privatisation.
In order to assess JI’s demands, Tarar announced that the federal minister for water and electricity had been added to the technical team that already included the secretary of electricity Division, members from the finance ministry, and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
The Minister went on to say that the majority of the demands made by the Naeem-led party had to do with power. He promised that these problems would be fixed as soon as possible.
