‘Govt has no ambiguity on seminary legislation’

On Tuesday, Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar stated that the government could meet with JUI-F head Fazlur Rehman to discuss the Madrasa Amendment Bill 2024 in detail because the prime minister had no doubts about it.
The minister stated during the National Assembly session that the prime minister was more than eager to resolve any issue amicably in response to Maulana Fazl’s criticism of the administration for allegedly being hesitant on the matter.
Although the president could not object to any law for the second time, he stated that no legislation was complete without the president’s approval.
According to the law minister, “Article 75 requires that the president either return a bill to parliament or assent it within 10 days.”
