ISLAMABAD: Mian Javed Latif, a federal minister and the head of the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz), claimed on Wednesday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’spreviousadministration was to blame for the collapse of the economy and that the current administration was making serious efforts to stabilize the situation.
Speaking to the media, he claimed that the only place where negotiations with the PTI could take place was in the parliament because that was the only forum where the problems the nation was facing could be discussed and resolved. The minister also made fun of PTI leader Imran Khan’s “Jail Bharo Tahreek” (court arrest drive), claiming that Khan had given up on it while applying for pre-arrest bail in various cases.“Imran Khan, who gives speeches on the supremacy of law and the constitution, is avoiding facing the law by using different delaying tactics,” he alleged.
