Gilani for maximum public relief through upcoming budget

Acting President Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani emphasised on Thursday the importance of creating a comprehensive plan to increase revenue as well as providing the greatest amount of relief to the general public through the next federal budget.When Muhammad Aurangzeb, the Minister of Finance and Revenue, paid him a visit at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, the acting president made these remarks.The acting president was briefed by the finance minister on the ongoing efforts to lower inflation and the government’s impending people-friendly budget.The minister claimed that a notable decline in the rate of inflation was evidence of the government’s persistent and unwavering initiatives.
In the meantime, Pakistan and Azerbaijan reaffirmed on Thursday their commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation in the fields of connectivity, energy, trade, and the economy.
