Gaza hospitals ‘flooded with dead bodies’ as Israel expands offensive

According to Al Jazeera, the Gaza Health Ministry has charged that Israel deliberately targets hospitals in an attempt to close them,  sending injured and displaced Palestinians into a “circle of death.” A spokesman for the Health Ministry, Ashraf al-Qudra, claimed that the Israeli occupation was “deliberately bombing hospitals in Gaza to put them out of service,” adding that  this was creating a “circle of death” for medical professionals as well as the injured and displaced. Al-Qudra went on to say that Israel had bombarded a number of  locations outside of Gaza City where Palestinian refugees were  seeking safety, including a packed square, a building next to the  Baptist Hospital, and the Salah ud-Din school. Munir al-Barsh, director-general of Gaza’s Health Ministry, told Al Jazeera earlier today that the hospitals that are still open are finding it difficult to handle “an influx of dead bodies.”
