Free flour to crores of people being provided under Ramzan relief package: Punjab Chief Secretary  Zahid Akhtar Zaman

Chichawatni: Punjab Chief Secretary  Zahid Akhtar Zaman has said that the Punjab government is spending 53 billion rupees on the special Ramadan relief package to provide free flour to crores of people, from which only the poor people are benefiting. Chairs for visitors to sit, clean drinking water, security, counters to guide people, medical aid centers to deal with any emergency have also been established.

He said this on the occasion of a visit to the center set up for the distribution of free flour at the Quaid-e-Azam Stadium. Commissioner Sahiwal Division Shoaib Iqbal Syed, Deputy Commissioner Ikramul Haque, DPO Faisal Shahzad and AC General Waqas Zafar also accompanied him. Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman inquired about the availability of flour from the men and women at the center and also checked the tokens. Screening of the card should ensure immediate supply of flour so that they do not have to wait for long. He added that visitors to the center should be treated kindly and people should be guided.
