LAHORE : Four employees of the health department, including two doctors, were suspended in Narowal on Wednesday in connection with making fake entries of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif receiving jabs of the coronavirus vaccine.
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar had ordered an investigation into the ‘fraud’.
Reports of former prime minister, who is also Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo, receiving doses of the vaccine had first made headlines in September 2021, raising questions over the authenticity of the vaccination programme and prompting the authorities to order an inquiry in order to save the country from earning a bad name in the comity of nations.
