LAHORE,: Former Olympian Abdul Waheed Khan passed away on Monday here at the age of 85.
He was born on 30 Nov 1936 in Rajpur, Madhya Pradesh (He was 85). Faisal Waheed said he took his father to hospital after his health deteriorated but to no avail, as his father was expired a few minutes earlier.
Waheed Khan was the first Pakistani who won a gold medal for Pakistan in the Rome Olympics. He served as manager of the Pakistan Hockey team. He was also the gold moralist in Jakarta Olympics.
He was blood-pressure patient.
