Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is taking strong action to not only put an end to power outages but also to improve the lives of the most vulnerable members of society. Minister of State for Finance Ali Pervaiz Malik reaffirmed the government’s unwavering commitment to consumer protection on Wednesday.
He elaborated on the government’s plan and said that initiatives are being taken to foster an atmosphere that would support the growth of the electricity industry. “We are not just focussing on privatisation, but also on building a robust framework that encourages investment, innovation, and competition,” he stated. He continued by saying that this multifaceted strategy will not only improve the effectiveness and dependability of the power supply but also draw in the private sector, spurring economic expansion and employment creation.
