Federal ministers condemn life threats to CJP Faez Isa

On Monday, the government said that it would start legal action to ensure that no one would dare to undermine the state’s authority and vehemently denounced life threats made by a particular organisation against Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa.

At a press conference with Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif declared, “The law will take its course against the elements behind the provocative and baseless propaganda campaign against the CJP.”

He was sorry to see that vested political interests were trying to use religion as an excuse to justify more killing.

As part of our faith, he remarked, is the conviction that the teachings of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) are final.
