Khangarh: Federal Minister of State Nawabzada Iftikhar Ahmed has taken notice on public complaints, issued instructions to MEPCO chief for immediate supply of electricity meters whereas MEPCO chief ordered to supply more than 1000 electricity meters.
According to the details, the people of MEPCO sub-division Khangarh, Shah Jamal and Rohilanwali were worried about the lack of supply and shortage of electricity meters for the past several months, and due to the defective code, the average units of meter was not changed.
Tired of heavy bills and fines, while they were making rounds in MEPCO offices to get new meters, the affected people asked Pakistan People’s Party Member of National Assembly and Federal Minister of State Nawabzada Iftikhar Ahmed Khan at his residence in Saif Nagar. Reached Khangarh and met him and informed him about his problems in this regard, on which the Federal Minister of State contacted MEPCO Chief Multan Mahar Allah Yar Bharwana Sial and instructed him to supply new electricity meters immediately and said that my constituency issues should be resolved immediately and affected consumers’ faulty meters should be replaced. New meters should be provided to replace, on which MEPCO Chief Multan, taking notice, issued more than 1000 new electricity meters and gave orders to SE and Exen WAPDA Muzaffargarh to change the meters of the affected customers, while the affected customers thanked the Federal Minister of State Nawabzada Iftikhar Ahmed Khan.
