Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of the JUI-F, called for the resignation of the current administration and the staging of new general elections free from “interference of establishment” on Wednesday. Speaking at a press conference held here, Maulana Fazl stated that his party will provide unwavering support to the atmosphere of discussions “if created,” emphasising that the establishment cannot function as both the “ruler and the servant.”
He insisted that the government step down and that new elections be held, with the establishment abstaining from the electoral process, highlighting the need to shift the belief that nothing can occur without the approval of the establishment.
The head of JUI-F asserted that the government is a collection of people who have been given power rather than a democratic body.
