Sardar Awais Leghari, the minister of power, warned corrupt officials and electricity thieves on Sunday that they would lose their jobs if they continued to engage in dishonest activities.
He stated that starting next month, everyone involved will have to deal with the music.
The minister promised that when power rates fell by 8–10% per unit in the near future, customers would experience tremendous relief.
In an interview, the minister expressed optimism that the public would benefit from power sector reforms in the upcoming months as anti-theft measures are put in place to improve systemic transparency.
He continued, “The objective is to supply citizens with affordable, sustainable, and dependable electricity.”
