Elections in piecemeal will lead to riots: Musadik

ISLAMABAD: Dr. Musadik Malik, state minister for petroleum, stated on Wednesday that, in the absence of a new census, the delineation of voting districts and some elections would plunge the nation into its worst political crises. Speaking to the media, Musadik claimed that the elections in two provinces amounted to a violation of the rest of the nation’s right to vote. The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) expressed grave concerns about the election, but they could have been allayed if serious efforts had been made to resolve the confusion that the majority of political forces were experiencing.

The Federal Consolidated Fund of Pakistan, according to the Constitution, can only be ordered to issue by the federal government, he added

To a query about the development on the agreement to receive subsidized oil from Russia, the minister stated that hopefully, within a month, we will have the first shipment coming.
