Elections and accountability will take place simultaneously: Rana Sanaullah

Interior Minister Rana Sana Ullah Khan claimed that Imran Khan intended to administer a bitter pill to the people under the guise of upcoming elections in order to avoid responsibility in the Tosha Khana and foreign funding cases.

He claimed that the PML-N was completely ready for the elections when he spoke to the workers’ convention at the al-Fateh Sports Complex here. He continued, “We would not only participate in the elections, but we would win with the support of the people. He claimed that Imran Khan, working with a real estate tycoon, had caused a massive loss to the national coffers of Rs. 50 billion, of which Rs. 15 billion was registered in his wife’s name as property. He said that the time had come for the accountability and the law would take its own course. He warned that Imran Khan could be arrested as the hide and seek could not save him (Imran) from the accountability.

He instructed workers to get ready because elections and accountability were taking place simultaneously. Imran Khan, according to him, would be imprisoned for his theft and plunder. He claimed that Imran Khan was hiding behind fictitious medical justifications but would eventually have to surrender to the law. He predicted that Nawaz Sharif would come back to lead the people and hand a humiliating defeat to the so-called leader who had usurped authority through deception. He claimed that Nawaz Sharif was a cure-all for all societal ills and that he would soon lead the nation out of crises.
