District Police Officer Waseem Riaz pays tribute to women police officers

Chiniot: On the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8, a general meeting was organized for lady police officers at Police Line Chiniot. The general meeting was attended by DSP Traffic Madam Zahida Parveen, lady police officers and personnel from all over the district.  District Police Officer Waseem Riaz Khan addressed the lady police officers during the general meeting. The DPO, while addressing, appreciated the services of the lady police officers and personnel performing duties in the police, and paid tribute while encouraging them.

The DPO said that today’s purpose is to make women feel safe. In every field of life, women are performing their duties better alongside men.  A series of measures are being taken to provide a better environment for women. A special committee has been established to prevent sexual harassment and harassment at the workplace in Chiniot district.  Complaints can be noted, strict action will be taken against the culprits. Women police officers, is playing its full role to prevent sexual harassment, domestic violence, child abuse. Anti-Women Harassment and Violence Cell Chiniot is playing its full role in solving the problems of women. In addition, awareness from the Anti-Women Harassment and Violence Cell.  The campaign continues. Victim Support Officers are present in the police stations to help and guide any woman who comes to the police station.  Later, the DPO inquired about the problems from the lady policemen and issued orders to solve the problems of the lady policemen on priority basis.
