District admin to launch crackdown on illegal drugs: Deputy Commissioner Umar Jahangir

Multan: Deputy Commissioner Umar Jahangir has said that the district administration and the police have decided to crack down on the mafia involved in the sale and purchase of narcotic and illegal drugs. He expressed these views while presiding over the meeting of the Drug Control Authority. In the meeting, the cases of various medical stores were listened. Deputy Commissioner Umar Jahangir said that the medical stores selling medicines without cold chain should be sealed and the owners of the medical stores will be able to work only through qualified staff and be brought under the law. On this occasion, a detailed briefing was also given by the health department.

Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner Multan Umar Jahangir also said that in view of the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali RA, security arrangements have been made more stringent by the district administration, in order to establish peace and order. In the meeting with the delegation in connection with the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali RA, ADCG Abida Farid, Divisional President of Protection and Mourning Council, Engineer Sakhawat Ali Seyal, Central General Secretary of Protection and Mourning South Punjab, Syed Talib Hussain Faraz, Syed Ali Haider Bukhari, Makhdoom Syed Waseem Abbas Shamsi, Syed Hasan Abbas Rizvi, Syed Hasnain Raza Zaidi, Syed Qamar Hasnain Naqvi and other licensees were present.
