On Tuesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that the government was digitising the economy, including the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), and privatising State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) as effective measures for economic restoration.
During a meeting with a delegation headed by Sir Michael Bayldon Barber, a British educationist and former head of the British Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit, the prime minister stated that the long-standing relationship between Pakistan and the UK was becoming stronger with time.
He stated that Pakistan cherished its relationship with the UK as a valued partner and that the government of Pakistan was appreciative of the UK’s assistance in a number of areas.
The PM reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing the two-way relationship.
