Deserving people to get free flour during month of Ramazan, assures Punjab Food Secretary Muhammad Zaman Vatu

Chichawatni: Punjab Food Secretary Muhammad Zaman Vatu has said that the Punjab government has started a program to provide 30 kilograms of free flour per family to 1.8 million deserving families with a subsidy of 53 billion rupees in the holy month of Ramadan.

He said this on the occasion of the trial run of the program in Chak No. 119/13AL Kisowal, Chichawatni district. Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal Captain Retired Ikramul Haque and SNA Khurram Saleem were also present.

He was accompanied by Secretary Food Punjab Mian Zaman Watto said that the survey of Benazir Income Support Program is being used to deliver this free flour to the deserving families. This program will be started in Sahiwal and Chichawatni from March 16 and in the whole of Punjab from March 18.           Deputy Commissioner Ikramul Haque said that this important program will directly benefit one lakh 91 thousand beneficiaries in Sahiwal district who will get three bags of free flour per family in Ramadan. SNA Khurram Saleem said that the deserving person will be able to get this flour from 245 flour sales points, 110 shops registered under Punjab Social Protection Authority and 59 utility stores in the entire district.
