Crackdown begins against illegal migrants

Islamabad: The deadline for undocumented foreigners ended one day earlier, and thousands of illegal Afghan migrants have willingly returned to their home country. As result, authorities began nationwide crackdown on illegal immigration on Wednesday. Undocumented foreign nationals are being apprehended and sent to detention camps across the nation, including Karachi, Rawalpindi, and other locations, before being sent back to their home countries. On Tuesday, the government’s crackdown on unauthorised immigrants, which includes hundreds of thousands of Afghan nationals, was announced by acting interior minister Sarfraz Bugti. The crackdown will begin on Thursday, November 2. The deadline for voluntary returns, which was established for November 1st, is this Wednesday. “Only two days are left for voluntary return,” Bugti stated in videotaped message.
