Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Prof. Ahsan Iqbal, described the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as an example of the two nations’ friendship and noted that there has always been “spring” in their relations, which are constantly improving.
He said in Beijing that China-proposed Pakistan’s economy has “benefited immensely” from the flagship project under the Belt and Road Initiative, CPEC, which was introduced in 2013.
As the second phase of the CPEC gets underway, Pakistan looks forward to working with China even more to pursue shared economic progress, he continued.
“The garden of friendship between Pakistan and China in every season has blossomed new and colourful flowers of cooperation and understanding between the people of Pakistan and China,” added the minister.
