Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and his wife Bushra Bibi were indicted by an accountability court on Tuesday in connection with the Toshakhana case that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had brought against them. The former prime minister is now being held at Adiala jail for this case; the ruling was made during a court held there today. The anti-graft watchdog’s five-person special prosecution team reviewed the reference against the pair. Judge Muhammad Bashir of the accountability court heard the Toshakhana and £190 million trials in the prison. The indictment of the former prime minister and his spouse was postponed by the court one day earlier due to the latter’s nonattendance.
