Nawaz Sharif, the former prime minister, said on Tuesday that “electoral engineering” was used to ensure that the “selected” was appointed prime minister in the 2018 election. The former prime minister claimed that the nation’s citizens had already paid a high enough price for the appointment of an unworthy person to the position of prime minister. During his speech at the parliamentary board meeting in Lahore, the leader of the PML-N emphasised that the PTI’s deeds and promises during his tenure in office were completely different. Speaking of this previous administration, he claimed that because development projects were being pursued, the nation was doing well in 2017. Speaking of the projects, he mentioned that the first motorway’s foundation was erected within the same time frame.
