On Tuesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the 26th Constitutional Amendment Bill, which was approved by the parliament with a two-thirds majority, will be a significant step forward for the nation’s political and economic stability as well as the general well-being of its citizens.
Speaking at the federal cabinet meeting he convened, the prime minister claimed that the new law would undoubtedly help the average person who had to endure excessive delays in pursuing justice.
In addition, he claimed that the 26th constitutional amendment, which was approved after extensive deliberation between the opposition and ruling coalition, was a realisation of the goals outlined in the 2006 Charter of Democracy, which was signed by Mian Nawaz Sharif and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
He claimed that the winning legislation was the result of unrelenting efforts.
