Chichawatni: Commissioner Sahiwal Division Shoaib Iqbal Syed has said that the development of Pakistan is related to imparting technical education to the young generation and TEVTA has an important role in this important national responsibility. There is a need to establish technical education institutions in every city and town of the province so that youth can be provided with skills by providing self-employment. He said this in his office while addressing a review meeting on the progress of development projects in technical institutes of Toyota, in which Chief Operating Officer Toyota Ahmed Khawar Shehzad, Additional Commissioner Coordination Shafiq Ahmed Dogar, ADC Finance Yasir Farid. , Superintendent Central Jail Asghar Ali, Axion Irrigation Sarfraz Malik and Toyota officers participated. COO TEVTA Ahmed Khawar Shahzad said that the new building of Government College of Technology is being constructed in Pakpattan at a cost of more than 7 crore rupees, of which 78 percent of the work has been completed. The establishment of this college covering 31 kanals and 11 marles will provide an opportunity to the youth of Pakpattan district to get technical education. He further informed that under the new scheme, a new plan has been set up to upgrade the Government Technical Training Institute in Chichawatni as Government College of Technology under which a new building will be constructed at a cost of Rs. will be constructed. Ahmed Khawar Shahzad further informed that Toyota is establishing 17 centers of excellence in various fields with a sum of 2 billion rupees across the province, out of which the food technology center will be established in Sahiwal. Commissioner Shoaib Iqbal Syed appreciated the efforts of COO Ahmed Khawar Shahzad for establishing these centers and expressed hope that it will provide modern training opportunities to the youth.
