MULTAN: Multan Commissioner Imran Sikandar stopped Waste Management Company to lift garbage from the housing societies in the city stating that these societies charge from their residents in this regard.
“Societies which throw building rubble and garbage on roads will be fined and action will be against them,” he said.
He further ordered WASA to properly check the water supply connections of all housing societies and make the proper recovery. “MDA should provide the record of these societies and new societies must fulfill all legal necessities,” he added.
The commissioner stated this while chairing meeting regarding development in the city. He further ordered the relevant authorities to complete the ongoing projects of roads and chowks to end the mental disturbance of the people.
“MDA should also prepare a list of rent defaulters of shops and petrol pumps in the city so that action can be taken against them,” he said, further ordering the authorities to submit report on encroached property of Auqaf department.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner General Sheikh Mohsin Nisar, MD WASA Mushtaq Khan, MD Waster Management Company Iqbal Farid and other relevant officials.
