Gen. Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), declared his intention to take all necessary measures to establish the writ of state throughout the nation. During a meeting of the top committee in the federal capital, which was presided over by acting prime minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar, the army chief voiced these opinions. He referred to the current conference as “historic” because it brought together the leaders of all federal and provincial LEAs. All major and minor institutions in charge of the nation’s security were presumably present at the conference for the first time, according to Gen. Asim Munir.
COAS said the life of every Pakistani citizen was more valuable than anything else, adding that Pakistan had only one option and “that is we have to rise and stand to the challenges”.
At the end of the apex commit, the Pakistan Army chief also recited Allama Iqbal’s poetry, aiming at arch-rival India.
