On Friday, Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the Central Business District (CBD) Punjab project site. He examined the road from Kalma Chowk to Walton, paying special attention to the ongoing building projects. He called a special meeting in the CBD location and gave orders to move the cattle that had been discovered there. Updates were given by CBD officials, who emphasised the quick development of infrastructure at the CBD Punjab project site. The building of the CBD Punjab Boulevard, which will run from Kalma Chowk to Walton Road, has advanced significantly, and the flyover has begun. The infrastructure for the Lahore Prime CBD Punjab Quaid District has been finished. In an interview with the media, the CM pledged to finish the current project in one to one and a half months.
He promised that joint efforts with DHA will take care of the traffic problems on Walton Road, adding that work on connecting Walton Road to Main Boulevard is moving quickly and should be finished by January 31. In addition, work is underway to build a new bridge that would connect Walton Road to Lahore Bridge and provide an alternate route from Ferozepur Road. This work is expected to start in the near future. When highlighting future initiatives, CM Naqvi brought up the impending start of work to address traffic issues at the Garden Town square T-junction. He announced that the Diplomatic Enclave is almost finished and is awaiting the Foreign Office’s NOC. He also highlighted the efficiency and calibre of CBD’s work on eight to ten significant projects, guaranteeing their timely completion.
