Maryam Nawaz, the chief minister of Punjab, stated on Sunday that youth should be enrolled in technical training programmes in order to lower unemployment and boost the nation’s economy.
In her role as meeting chair, Maryam expressed optimism that the province government would be able to implement a strong model of technical education in the region. The meeting was called to discuss recommendations to add finishing touches to the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) Mapping Plan.
On this particular occasion, she approved the plan to hire 1,000 young people for the TEVTA in order to address the staffing shortfall.
In addition, the CM approved the development of 45 welding workshops spread over nine province cities.
