Chinese premier Li in Islamabad

From October 14–17, 2024, Premier of the State Council of China Li Qiang is going to make a four-day bilateral visit to Pakistan in order to meet with the country’s military and civil society leaders and take part in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s Council of the Heads of Government meeting.

According to a curtain raiser released by the Foreign Office on Sunday, Premier Li will be accompanied by ministers and senior officials, including those from the ministries of foreign affairs and commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the China International Development Cooperation Agency.

Leading their respective delegations, Prime Ministers Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Li Qiang will engage in a thorough discussion of all facets of Pakistan-China relations, including trade and economic connections as well as collaboration under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
