Chief Justice Saqib Nisar undergoes angioplasty surgery

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar on Sunday has been admitted to Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology, As per media reports.

Sources privy to development stated that angioplasty was performed by doctors to open one of the blocked artery to restore normal flow of the blood.

CJP has been shifted to VIP ward.

He underwent angioplasty, during which two stents were fitted in his heart, the hospital sources said.

Chief Justice Nisar is out of danger and in good spirits, the sources added.

On the other hand, Rangers have taken over security of the hospital to avoid any untoward situation.

Meanwhile, Justice Asif Saeed Khosa arrived at hospital and inquired about health condition of CJP.
