The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MOIB) has established a media helpline to address complaints of both local and foreign journalists during elections, according to a statement made on Monday by Murtaza Solangi, the acting federal minister of information, broadcasting, and parliamentary affairs. Speaking at the media helpline’s opening ceremony, he stressed that it was essential to enhance and improve operations in the current digital media era. Any browser would be able to access the media-compliant application, said Murtaza Solangi. According to him, the app was created to make it easier for local and foreign media outlets covering the general election in 2024. He said that the Caretaker Government was established and that it provided the Pakistani Election Commission with the necessary assistance to guarantee a free and transparent election.
