The 26th Constitutional Amendment draft, which was put forth by the Pakistan Peoples Party and other government allies, was accepted by the federal cabinet on Sunday.
Azam Nazeer Tarar gave a thorough briefing on the change during the cabinet meeting, which was presided over by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Minister of Law and Justice.
Speaking to the cabinet, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the move as a significant step forward for Pakistan’s growth and development. “The cabinet has made an excellent decision for the development, prosperity and the betterment of the country’s overall situation” , he stated.
The prime minister emphasised that the 26th Amendment was made in the greater good of the country and thanked the country on its acceptance.
