Business community problems to be taken care of in budget: Gillani

Acting President Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani gave them assurances that their issues would be addressed in the next federal budget while applauding the business community’s contribution to the country’s economy.

On Thursday, renowned entrepreneur Mian Tanvir A Sheikh, a former president of the Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry, hosted a luncheon in his honour.

President Asif Ali Zardari, according to Gilani, has consistently urged friendly nations to invest in Pakistan, particularly China.

He praised the president for taking the lead in initiating transformative projects such as the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Among those in attendance were PCGA Chairman Chaudhry Waheed Arshad, President of the Industrial Estate Board of Management Asif Majeed, Romana Tanvir Sheikh, and MCCI President Mian Rashid Iqbal.
