Bushra Bibi transferred to Adiala Jail after IHC order

Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, will be moved from sub-jail at her Banigala home to Adiala Jail, where her husband is also incarcerated, per an order from the Islamabad High Court.

IHC’s Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb, who reserved judgement on Wednesday and granted Bushra Bibi’s request, also ruled that the Islamabad administration’s notification designating Imran Khan’s Banigala mansion as a sub-jail was invalid.

Last Monday, the IHC postponed rendering a decision regarding Bushra Bibi’s petition.

The former first lady was moved from the Banigala sub-prison to Adiala jail shortly after the IHC’s decision.

An accountability court in Islamabad convicted Bushra Bibi and Imran Khan to 14 years in prison in the Toshakhana case, and on January 31 she was taken into custody.
