A day after being granted bail in a recent Toshakhana case, Bushra Bibi, the wife of imprisoned former Premier Imran Khan, was released from Adiala Jail on Thursday, capping nearly nine months of her incarceration.
An accountability court in Islamabad sentenced the former first lady and Imran to 14 years in prison in the Toshakhana case, and she was placed under arrest on January 31.
Days before the general elections on February 8, Imran was the target of three consecutive convictions, the second of which was this one.
Bushra was detained in Adiala Jail, where the PTI founder has been detained since August 5 of last year in connection with a different Toshakhana case.
