British envoy calls on Defence Minister

On Thursday, British High Commissioner Jane Marriott paid a visit to Khawaja Muhammad Asif, the Minister of Defence, in this location.

According to a press release, Pakistan values its relationship with Britain and is grateful for Britain’s efforts to promote reconciliation in Afghanistan. This was said by the Defence Minister.

At the level of Defence Ministries, the Minister of Defence stated that the Pakistan-UK Defence Cooperation Forum (DCF) should continue.

The Minister and the High Commissioner conveyed their happiness with the two nations’ continued cooperation for stability in the region.

The necessity of strengthening military and security ties between two nations was emphasised by both parties.
