According to US Ambassador Donald Blome, Washington “is a strong partner for Pakistan’s economic future” on Monday.
Ambassador Blome met Pakistan Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb today “to discuss key aspects of the US-Pakistan trade, investment, and economic relationship,” according to a press release from the US Mission in Islamabad. The ambassador emphasised that Pakistan’s economic reform goal continues to get assistance from the US.
The statement from the press release went on, “Noting that the United States is committed to working with Pakistan in technical and development initiatives, Ambassador Blome emphasised that Pakistan still relies heavily on American investment, is its largest export market, and has the United States as a strong partner for its economic future.”
