On Monday, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), supported Ali Amin Gandapur, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in his request to establish a judicial committee to look into the violent incidents that occurred on May 9. Speaking in front of the National Assembly, Bilawal asked the PM-elect to implore Pakistan’s Chief Justice, Qazi Faez Isa, to form an inquiry committee led by the chief justice himself into the events of May 9. Furthermore, he stated that the PTI and the other parties would need to acknowledge the commission’s conclusions. In order to save the country from inflation, Bilawal encouraged all political groups, including the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), to gather together and draft a national reconciliation charter.
