Backdoor to power shut after constitutional tweaks: Sanaullah

According to Prime Minister’s political affairs adviser Rana Sanaullah, the backdoor to power has been closed by the recently enacted constitutional amendment.
Speaking to a news conference in Lahore following a meeting of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), he stated, “After the [26th] constitutional amendment, Pakistan will not be harmed by these sneaky ways,” according to a report on Sunday.

The lawmaker praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership, claiming that the nation has avoided an economic crisis because of the premier’s unwavering efforts.
With the help of allies like the PPP, the Shehbaz Sharif-led government approved controversial legislation in both the lower and upper houses of parliament, altering the process for choosing the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP).
