Aurangzeb assures consideration of PBC budget proposals

Muhammad Aurangzeb, the federal minister of finance and revenue, gave the Pakistan Business Council (PBC) the assurance on Monday that its suggestions will, to the greatest extent feasible, be taken into account when the budget for FY 2024–2025 is finalised.

The minister received a visit from a delegation of the Pakistan Business Council (PBC), headed by PBC Chairman Shabbir Diwan, according to a news release published by the ministry of finance.

Ali Pervez Malik, Minister of State for Finance and Revenue, and Malik Amjed Zubair Tiwana, Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), were present at the meeting.

The PCB group spoke with the finance minister about the Federal Budget 2024–25 and expressed gratitude for the government’s continued efforts.

They also submitted detailed recommendations and tax ideas for review.
