According to Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the government will not permit any banned organisations to establish a parallel legal system within the nation.
This evening, he was speaking at a press conference in Islamabad against the backdrop of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement’s ban.
The Minister stated that while advocating for rights is acceptable, efforts to incite hatred and ethnic division will not be accepted.
He claimed that PTM has a history of disparaging law enforcement and governmental organisations with derogatory words. According to him, the governments of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan put 54 and 34 people in the fourth schedule, respectively, after PTM was outlawed.
According to him, an organisation that is labelled a banned entity faces travel and media limitations, office closures, bank account closures, cancellation of arms licenses, passports, and identity cards, and other consequences.
Mohsin Naqvi stated unequivocally that anybody who assist and encourage the outlawed organisations will be subject to the same legal penalties.
