Azam Nazeer Tarar, the federal minister for parliamentary affairs, told the Senate that legal action had been launched against a political party headquarters for breaking construction codes.
In response to opposition leader Shibli Faraz’s point of order, he went on to say that the political party received its first warning for breaking building ordinances in 2020. From 2020 to 2024, notices were repeatedly sent out at intervals of six months; the last notice for persistent infractions was delivered on May 10.
The minister declared, “The action is in accordance with the law in light of the last notice dated May 10.”
