Achakzai elected as Balochistan Assembly Speaker

Captain (retd) Abdul Khaliq Achakzai of the Pakistan Muslim  League-Nawaz (PML-N) was chosen Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly on Thursday  without any opposition. According to specifics, Ghazala Gola was unanimously elected by the session to serve as the deputy speaker of the Balochistan Assembly. The newly elected speakers Abdul Khaliq Achakzai and Ghazala  Gola are scheduled to assume office today (Thursday) and take an  oath of office, respectively. The Balochistan Assembly Speaker position has been nominated for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidature. Following discussions with the party leadership, Captain (r) Abdul  Khaliq Achakzai was previously named by former prime minister  Nawaz Sharif and party president Shehbaz Sharif as the PML-N candidate for Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly. The Balochistan Assembly’s freshly elected MPAs had earlier taken  their membership oaths under the chair’s direction.
