2 days shutter down strike across the country

President of the Chamber of Commerce Mian Omer Saleem has backed the traders strike, IMF had destroyed business, APAT President Ajmal Baloch

Karachi: The government’s policy of national identity card (CNIC) and tax policies are not accepted to the business community and all Pakistan traders alliances.

The deadlock between All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajran (APAT) and Federal Bureau of Revenue is on. The Traders announced 2 days strike across the country.
The 2 days strike and shutter down call is on now. Pakistan’s big cities and there markets are on strike and shutters  has down.

A day before strike announced , APAT President Ajmal Baloch had announced that the strict conditions of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) had destroyed business, against which the business community will protest strongly.

President of the Chamber of Commerce Mian Omer Saleem has backed the traders strike.Business centres and markets in Vehari, Gujranwala, Hafizabad and Muzaffargarh remained shut due to the traders strike.

On the other hand, Finance Adviser Abdul Hafeez Sheikh has invited the business community for negotiations.

The traders have been assured their issues will be resolved in the meetings. Traders are likely to meet an IMF delegation during the meeting.

Karachi Electronics Dealers Association President Rizwan Irfan said the traders issues were not being resolved for the last six months due to poor economic policies of the government.
