PM Imran takes notice of rise in naan, roti prices

ISLAMABAD : Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken notice of the rise in prices of naan and roti. He expressed anger over the recent hike in prices of the daily life utensils.

As per details, Federal Cabinet met in Islamabad on Tuesday with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair. It discussed overall political and economic situation of the country.

PM Imran Khan questioned what are the reasons behind the rise in price of nann and roti.

Moreover, the cabinet gave approval to appoint Imran Nasir as MD PASCO. Cabinet also approved transferring 12 departments of education ministry to ministry of human rights. It also approved the establishment of Federal Government Employees Housing Authority.

Sources said Cabinet also approved appointment of Rana Abdul Jabbar as Chief Executive of power development board. It also approved separation of CAA’s regulation and services departments.

Sources said the meeting also discussed matters related to situation in Karachi, Islamabad master plane and accountability process. PM Imran Khan on the occasion reaffirmed strict accountability for looters. He said the convicted persons must be treated like criminals.

PM has convened a meeting related to Islamabad master plan after two days. He directed authorities to build high rising buildings in posh areas. PM said he is serious about proving homes to poor people adding that a plane for homes in slums of federal capital must be made.

Expressing concerns over recent situation in Karachi after rains, he said billions were given to Sindh government but public could not get facilities. He said the life in Karachi is pathetic due to ill sewerage and waste management system.

The cabinet offered fateha for the ten soldiers of Pakistan Army martyred in terror incidents in Balochistan and Waziristan as well as the martyrs of Rawalpindi aircraft crash.
