Aspirant Gladiator Saud Shakeel eyes national cap

DUBAI: The successful entry of Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Faheem Ashraf into the national cricket team through Pakistan Super League (PSL) has inspired Saud Shakeel − an emerging spinner who will be representing Quetta Gladiators in the coming edition – to adopt the same path in order to get similar results.

While talking to a private media outlet in Dubai, Shakeel said that “he is positive to display his skills and to get a chance to wear the green shirt”.

“PSL is a great platform and I had to learn a lot from legends like Sir Viv Richards,” he added.

The fourth edition of the celebrated T20 league will commence from Thursday with a star-studded opening ceremony in Dubai. American rapper Pitbull and Singer-turned-actor Fawad Afzal Khan, amongst others, will perform at the much-awaited opening ceremony.
